‘The Bible,’ ‘Duck Dynasty’ Among Movieguide Contenders

Reelz has set a March 1 airdate for the 22nd annual Movieguide Awards, which will be held Feb. 7 at the Universal Hilton. Bill Engvall will host the show, which salutes faith-based movies and television programming.

The Bible” is up for both a TV Grace Award and the TV Epiphany Prize. Roma Downey and Mark Burnett will be among the presenters. “Duck Dynasty” has been nominated for the TV Faith & Freedom Award and the TV Family Friess Free Enterprise Prize, along with Tim Allen’s “Last Man Standing.”

Movie Grace Awards Nominees include Sandra Bullock (“Gravity”), Harrison Ford (“42″), AJ Michalka and James Denton (“Grace Unplugged”), Henry Cavill and Russell Crowe (“Man Of Steel”) and Forest Whittaker (“Black Nativity”).

Television Grace Award nominees include Allen, Downey, Diogo Morgado and and Willie Robertson.

The Show is presented by Dr. Ted Baehr, CEO of Good News Communications, Inc. in association with the John Templeton Foundation. CAA’s Lee Horvitz and Larry A. Thompson of Larry A. Thompson Organization were involved in the deal with Reelz.
