Walters has suffered a few health scares recently -- in January she was hospitalized for a fall at the home of the British ambassador in Washington, D.C. that slightly injured her head, and she also revealed she was suffering from another illness -- chicken pox.

Walters' final year will reportedly be filled with tributes to more than half a century in broadcasting. Her The View co-host Joy Behar also announced she was leaving the show earlier this month after 16 years, and The Hollywood Reporter reports that controversial host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is set to exit as well.
