Bachelorette alum Kasey Kahl was arrested early Sunday morning after police charged him with felony assault, TMZ reports.

The arrest stems from an altercation at a nightclub in Fresno on Jan. 15, during which Kahl, 29, allegedly beat two people. Prosecutors decided there was enough evidence to charge Kahl and a warrant for his arrest was issued.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, officials believe Kahl was under the influence of alcohol and a drug toluene, an inhalant associated with paint thinners, when he attacked a man named Richard Cheney outside of a nightclub and then hit Cheney's girlfriend in the face.

Kahl has been charged with two counts of felony assault, one count of battery with serious bodily injury and one count of public intoxication. If found guilty, he faces up to eight years in prison.

Kahl competed for Ali Fedotowsky's heart on The Bachelorette and also appeared on Bachelor Pad last summer when he was dating Vienna Girardi.
