Avril Lavigne Gets Emotional While Giving Update on Battle With Lyme Disease: ‘I’m Doing a Lot Better’ (Video)

A teary-eyed Avril Lavigne opened up about her battle with Lyme disease during an appearance on “Good Morning America” on Monday.

The Canadian pop star recounted doctors giving her diagnosis’s like depression and chronic fatigue syndrome.

“This is what they do to a lot of people who have Lyme disease, they don’t have an answer for them so they tell them, like, ‘your crazy,'” the “Complicated” singer said.

Two month into her illness, which included severe exhaustion and being bedridden, she saw a Lyme specialist, who diagnosed her with the disease.

“I’m about halfway through my treatment, and I’m doing a lot better and seeing a lot of progress,” she said, adding how grateful she is that she is projected to make a full recovery.

“I’m so excited for life after this,” she said.
