Andy Bourne Joins Fox TV Studios As VP Programming

EXCLUSIVE: Fox Television Studios has hired Andy Bourne as VP of programming. He will develop cable series for the studio, reporting to president David Madden. Bourne succeeds Gabriel Marano who left in February for a job at A&E. “We’re very excited to have found Andy, someone with a unique eye for the types of projects that FTVS has done the past several years, but who will also help us push our brand,” Madden said. “Andy’s a pistol who’s eager to jump in, and we welcome him to the battlefield!”

That last line is more than not just a metaphor — Bourne currently serves as an executive producer on the NBC pilot The Sixth Gun. He developed the project in his most recent capacity as SVP of development and production at Oni Press/Closed on Mondays Prods. where he has been for the past three years. There, he was responsible for packaging and selling properties from the 200-title Oni catalog as well as finding new projects to develop as graphic novels. Since last summer, the company has been under a first-look deal at Universal TV, which turned Oni Press’s graphic novel The Sixth Gun into a drama project executive produced by Carlton Cuse. Prior to Oni Press/Closed on Mondays, Bourne spent 10 years at Warren Littlefield’s The Littlefield Co., rising to SVP of development and production, a position he held for six years. While there, he developed and worked on the series Keen Eddie, Love Inc., and My Generation.
