Andrew Breitbart's Cause of Death Revealed

Andrew Breitbart died of natural causes with no signs of illicit or prescription drugs in his body and his blood alcohol level at .04 percent -- a negligible amount and the result, no doubt, of him enjoying some wine at a bar near his home about an hour before his unexpected death.

According to a Los Angeles coroner’s statement, first obtained Friday by, the conservative new-media maven and highly sought-after television pundit died of heart failure on March 2 at age 43.

The coroner’s statement was based on toxicology results, which typically take about 60 days to conclude.

“No significant trauma was present and foul play is not suspected," the County of Los Angeles Department of Coroner said. "It is anticipated that the final coroner report will be available for release within two weeks."

The coroner said that, since no foul play is suspected, the case is essentially closed.

Breitbart will star posthumously in at least two upcoming documentary films, explicit trailers of which can be seen here.
