And the Next 'Bachelorette' Is …

It's time for Desiree Hartsock to call the shots when she gets her second chance to find love, starring in the ninth edition of ABC's hit romance reality series, "The Bachelorette," which will premiere Monday, May 20.

She told Sean Lowe that he was making the biggest mistake of his life in breaking up with her, but it might've been the best thing to happen to Desiree Hartsock.

A fan favorite from this past season of "The Bachelor," the 26-year-old bridal stylist from L.A. has been chosen to be the next "Bachelorette."

After her introduction at the end of "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" special, a tearful Hartsock said, "I just can't even believe I'm here, and with the support of everyone, it's just such a blessing. I could never have imagined … having this opportunity."

Host Chris Harrison joked, "If you're crying now, we're in for a long season together."

Many fans were shocked when Lowe eliminated the playful, quirky Hartsock after meeting her family. Later, on "The Women Tell All" special, he admitted that a conversation with her brother, Nate -- who accused Lowe of being a "playboy" -- did play a role in his decision.

But as upset as Hartsock was at the time, she has moved on from the breakup. Now, she wishes Lowe and his recently-revealed fiancée, Catherine Giudici, the best. "I can only hope to have the love that they found," she said. "I'm very hopeful in all of this, and I do hope to meet the man of my dreams."

Hartsock is a true believer in the show. "I did realize the feelings are real," she explained of her time on "The Bachelor." "I know that it can happen and one of them will be, hopefully, my true love, as clichéd as it sounds."

Is she prepared to handle the 25 men who will vie for her hand? "Oh, I can handle 'em. Oh, yeah!" Hartsock said with a grin. "Bring them on."
