AMC Announces Breaking Bad's Final Premiere Date, Launch of Talking Bad 'Spin-Off'

Breaking Bad's 8 Most Bitchin' and Bold Twists!

Fans of AMC’s Breaking Bad now have a date for beginning of the end of the end.

The second half of the acclaimed drama’s fifth and final season — eight episodes in total — will premiere on Sunday, Aug. 11 at 9 pm.

Additionally, the cabler confirms that a weekly spin-off/dissection show titled Talking Bad will air (an hour) after each Bad episode at 11 pm. Sandwiched in between at 10 pm will be new crime drama Low Winter Sun.

As previously reported, AMC will kick off Season 3 of The Killing on June 2 and Season 3 of Hell on Wheels on August 3.

Other highlights from AMC’s massive programming/scheduling release:

* New reality series Showville — in which a traveling talent show visits small towns across the country — bows Thursday, March 23 at 9 pm.

* Season 2 of The Pitch launches on Thursday, August 15 at 10 pm.

* Talking Dead, Comic Book Men and Freakshow have all been renewed.

* The network is developing Cancelled, an unscripted series in which six households “will be outfitted with cameras that will give them the chance to compete for ‘ratings’ that will determine which household has the most-watched reality show.”
