Adult Swim Renews ‘Childrens Hospital’s’ Prescription

Adult Swim’s “Childrens Hospital” is bringing another dose of live-action comedy.

The series was renewed for its seventh season, the network announced Tuesday.

“I’m happy,” said creator and exec producer Rob Croddry. “After our season six cliffhanger, people will be dying for us to turn our backs on the notion of series continuity even more.”

The series’ scribes are Jonathan Stern and David Wain; Stern also serves as exec producer. Based on the 2008 web series, “Childrens Hospital” has won two Emmy awards during its run.

New episodes of the current season of “Childrens Hospital” air at midnight Fridays on Adult Swim.
