6 Salacious 'Revenge' Spoilers
6 Salacious 'Revenge' Spoilers
There's no denying that Revenge lost its way for a bit of season two. But there's also no denying that Revenge found its footing over the last two episodes -- not only was Amanda killed along with a very annoying subplot about Jack's father's past, but her death renewed Emily's focus, while Victoria reminded us all why she's a woman to be feared.
And to hear the cast tell it, the final string of episodes will take fans much deeper into this decadent Hampton's hole. ETonline caught up with Emily VanCamp, Gabriel Mann, Joshua Bowman, Nick Wechsler, Christa B.Allen and Barry Sloane on The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences red carpet, prior to their cast Q&A, to find out what lies ahead on their roadmap for Revenge!
Woe is The Widower
When the action resumes with Retribution and Jack wakes up from his coma, someone takes on the unenviable task of telling him Amanda died. "Because of what he heard on the boat about Amanda stealing a computer from Conrad, Jack falls under the impression that Conrad had her killed," Wechsler says. "So he starts going after him and I'm excited for the fans to see this different version of Jack."
Wechsler is equally excited to see one of his character's most lamented attributes jettisoned. "Jack is no longer instantly trusting of everyone. The way I always defended his naivety was by saying that he was so good that he didn't expect bad from anyone else, so he walked into some sh*t that normal people wouldn't. But not anymore. The world broke his heart, and now it's going to have to pay."
Jack and Emily aren't the only ones rocked by Amanda's death -- Charlotte also takes the news very hard. "Amanda's death has become the driving force for Charlotte in the rest of the season," Allen tells me. "Anything she goes through is fueled by the fact she lost the one person she considers family.
Unfortunately, as we all remember, Charlotte doesn't always handle stress well. "Anyone who experiences a tragedy tries to cope, but if you can't cope, you lose it, and that's the direction Charlotte is heading in ... once again. Basically losing her mind."
24 Karat Boy
While Miss Grayson is losing her mind, Mr. Grayson's brain is swelling to unhealthy proportions. "The Initiative storyline starts to wrap up, which I think is a good thing," Bowman concedes. "It gets us back to the roots of why we're all there, and more importantly, why Emily is there. Daniel is doing very well professionally and starts to get a bit egotistical. He turns into this driven, successful young man who is really pushing for power like never before. There's a flash towards the dark side for him, and it's quite a drastic change."
The Dark of Winter is Coming
If there was one word dropped most frequently by the actors, it was the word "dark." But while most of them said it, Sloane said it best. "In the last nine episodes, we move into winter where everything gets nice and dark. More so than ever before," he told me.
