While some creatives may consider a porn parody of their work a confirmation of their success, "Girls" creator Lena Dunham "can't just laugh off" Hustler production "This Ain't Girls XXX."

And Dunham took to Twitter on Thursday night to explain exactly why.

"1. Because Girls is, at its core, a feminist action while Hustler is a company that markets and monetizes a male's idea of female sexuality."

"2. Because a big reason I engage in (simulated) onscreen sex is to counteract a skewed idea of that act created by the proliferation of porn."

"3. Because it grosses me out."

Get it? Got it? Good.

The XXX version of Dunham's critically-acclaimed HBO series follows Hannah (played by Dunham's porn star doppelganger, Alex Chance) as she forsakes her boyfriend Adam (Richie Calhoun) and decides to experiment with the ladies before, ultimately, returning to sleep with Adam.

Calhoun told XBIZ (an adult industry trade website) that writer and director Stuart Canterbury's "provocative" vision is "very well written."

It will be interesting to see if Dunham agrees when Hustler releases the adult film in a few months.
