'The Walking Dead' exclusive photos: Daryl, Merle, and Carl are ready for battle

The Governor's sneak attack at the end of last week's "Walking Dead" episode left Rick Grimes and friends shaken, with Axel dead, a slew of artillery spent, and new parts of the prison overrun with walkers.

And, as these exclusive photos preview, it also left members of the group, including brothers Daryl and Merle Dixon and Rick's son Carl, ready to fight back against what is almost certainly another imminent attack by the Woodbury psycho and his minions.

In Sunday's new episode, "I Ain't a Judas," the action opens with the prison group fighting with each other about what their next course of action should be. Some want to flee, some want to stay and fight, and the only thing everyone seems to agree on is that Rick -- who was obsessing over his visions of Lori when the Governor launched his attack on the prison -- may need a break from being his friends' leader.

Even Carl, Rick and Lori's supercapable and resilient son, tells his dad he deserves a timeout.
