Fans can't stop talking about "The Vampire Diaries"!

No wonder, with a tense "race for the cure" storyline and a new relationship between Elena and Damon heating up.

Last week, for the first time, "Vampire Diaries" was the No. 1 social TV show, according to Trendrr. Fans generated nearly 865,000 social interactions across Twitter, Facebook, GetGlue and Viggle.

So, can "TVD" repeat its top dog status this week? Judging by the sneak peeks, Thursday's episode, "A View to Kill," will have everybody furiously typing their thoughts on Elena's plan for Jeremy to take out Kol. Of course, Kol isn't going down so easily; as he warns Bonnie, "Nobody can get to the cure if you're too dead to find it."
