'Star Trek' Alum George Takei Guest Stars on 'The Neighbors' [Exclusive Video]

Mark Hamill from 'Star Wars' will also appear on the comedy's first-season finale.

The Season 1 finale of "The Neighbors" is going to be out of this world. Why? Because the quirky sci-fi sitcom that's been picking up steam (and buzz) will feature two legendary stars (and not the twinkly ones in the sky): "Star Trek" icon George Takei and "Star Wars" star Mark Hamill.

In this exclusive clip, Larry Bird (Simon Templeman) -- leader of the Zabvronians and the patriarch of the alien family at the center of the story -- receives an earthly visit from his father (Takei), who's been trying unsuccessfully to reach Larry for months. Apparently, the mission is over, and he's calling for all Zabvronians to move out.

But Larry is having no part of it, insisting that he loves Earth, and that he and his family need another six or seven seasons -- er, years -- to "figure it all out." (Was that a tongue-in-cheek plea to ABC execs? The show has yet to be renewed for a second season.)

Another tidbit of info: Jackie Joyner-Kersee's (Toks Olagundoye) planet Zabvron name was Debbie Callahan! Clearly, Jackie Joyner-Kersee would be a more subtle choice on Earth ... or not.

The Season 1 finale of "The Neighbors" airs on Wednesday, 3/27 at 8:30 PM on ABC.
