'S.W.A.T.' sneak peek: Shemar Moore gets fast and furious

“If you want things to change, be the change,” Shemar Moore says in this exclusive promo for CBS’s new fall drama, S.W.A.T.

Moore is definitely ready to be that change, when his character, Sergeant Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson, takes over the highly-trained unit after his former boss was involved in a tragic shooting.

And it looks like Hondo’s changes are going to be fast and furious — no doubt thanks to pilot director and executive producer Justin Lin (the guy behind multiple Fast and Furious movies). There’s even a jaw-dropping car chase and crash in the teaser.

From storming a house to pursuing thieves to rescuing innocent kids, Moore and the S.W.A.T. crew will protect and serve Los Angeles.

But as he says, “This is my team, and we’re going to go a different way.”

The new action-thriller is based on the 2003 film, which is itself based on the 1975 television series.

S.W.A.T. premieres Thursday, Nov. 2 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
