Ryan Seacrest Embarrassingly Confuses Jeffrey Tambor with Another Actor
Ryan Seacrest put his foot in his mouth on Live with Kelly and Ryan, as he confused Jeffrey Tambor with character actor Vincent Schiavelli. Seacrest said, “We talk about all the things you have done, you are the scary guy in the subway in Ghost.”
Tambor smirked and replied, “Oh, this is horrible. You’re going to be embarrassed. That’s not me.”
That actor from the film Ghost is the late Vincent Schiavelli, who appeared in films such as One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Amadeus, Batman Returns, and Death to Smoochy.
Instead of moving on, Tambor made Seacrest squirm as he feigned insult. He said, “What is wrong with you? I came on to sell a book, not to be insulted. I am hurt. My reps are here, and we are filing an action suit.”
After side-by-side images of Tambor and Schiavelli were shown, it was clear that the two bear very few similarities. Tambor did say that he’s been mistaken for Schiavelli before. That didn’t stop him from ribbing Seacrest further.
