Rob Yarin Stepping In As Executive Producer Of NBC’s ‘Meet The Press’

Betsy Fischer Martin was promoted in March to Senior EP at Meet The Press and Managing Editor of Political Programming at NBC News. As she transitions to the latter gig full time, Hardball veteran Rob Yarin joins the venerable Sunday morning program from Frank N. Magid Associates, where he’d been SVP Programming since 1999. Before that, he was the Executive Producer of Hardball With Chris Matthews when the show aired on CNBC. Yarin was instrumental in the show’s reformatting, which led to higher ratings and an expansion to one hour. He also has had producing stints at Fox News and WBIS+/Dow Jones and was a local news producer at stations including network O&Os in Los Angeles. Yarin will take over at Meet The Press on August 4, reporting to NBC News SVP Antoine Sanfuentes.
