Ridiculous Valentine’s Day Proposal on ‘New Girl’

On New Girl, Winston had been crafting an elaborate 21-point marriage proposal plan, but Aly’s casual proposal beat him to the punch and threw him for a loop. So Jess volunteered to help Winston carry out the most romantic of plans: dress up like a bobcat and propose in a public bathroom while a choir called “Protect and Swerve” sings.

With a call to the police station, Aly was sent out on a public disturbance and everything fell into place, more or less. Winston jumped out of the bathroom stall and Aly kicked him, sending him crashing into a wall.

Although it didn’t get off to a great start, the choir certainly made up for the hiccups, and Jess went on to help the now concussed Winston by reading the rather long proposal. Jess skipped some parts, including “vivid detail” of their first sexual encounter.

In the end, Aly was happy to accept Winston’s bobcat-themed proposal.

New Girl airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
