New York City's finest did their best to save the day when a duck wandered onto subway tracks. Officials responded to a call around 9:30 pm about an animal swimming in a low puddle in a transit lane. NYPD officers were able to pick up the duck and carry him out of the Metro system for safe release into the wild. Authorities tweeted about the incident, saying the apprehension went "swimmingly."
