Lifetime is reportedly eyeing Marc Cherry's soapy Devious Maids pilot now that ABC has passed, EW reports.

However, the project, which starred Susan Lucci, is just one of a number of rejected pilots the network is considering, according to the report.

The show, an adaptation of a Mexican telenovela, tells the stories of four maids — played by Ana Ortiz, Judy Reyes, Roselyn Sanchez and Dania Ramirez — who work for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills. Lucci stars as Genevieve Delacourt, the beautiful, yet gently crazy, employer of one of the maids.

Cherry was the creator and executive producer of Desperate Housewives for the duration of the series' eight-season run.
