Red Hot Chili Peppers Go Shirtless and Rock Out on ‘Carpool Karaoke’

The Red Hot Chili Peppers were the latest music superstars to join James Corden of The Late Late Show for “Carpool Karaoke.” Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith, and Josh Klinghoffer piled into Corden’s Range Rover, went for a ride and sand a few songs.

Obviously, they sang a lot of Red Hot Chili Peppers songs, but they also sang a number from one of Flea’s favorite musicals, Oliver. To add to the variety, Flea and Kiedis shared a gibberish song they wrote when they were 15 years old and went camping in the Sierra-Nevada mountains.

When they weren’t singing, the group also wrestled. Corden and Kiedis got into a wrestling match in a random person’s front yard, with Kiedis putting Corden into a submission hold rather easily.

After the wrestling, everyone got back into the car, and Corden, Kiedis, and Flea took their shirts off and sang, “The Zephyr Song.” Corden really liked being able to drive around topless, saying, “Somehow the fact that the three of us have got our tops off, it feels completely normal.”

The Late Late Show with James Corden airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. on CBS.
