The revolution will be televised, it will be on USA Network, and it will be led/opposed by the stars of high-caliber-yet-underappreciated cable dramas.

Rectify‘s Aden Young and Quarry‘s Logan Marshall-Green have been cast in the Damnation pilot, USA Network announced Tuesday. The drama, set in the 1930s, follows a man pretending to be a preacher who wants to launch an uprising in a small Iowa town.

Young will play that preacher, Seth Davenport, who has “a violent past and a secret ambition to lead a revolution against American industrialists,” per the official character description. Marshall-Green will portray strikebreaker Creeley Turner, “a hard boiled and deadly mercenary” sent to put down the fledgling revolt.

Other cast additions include Sarah Jones (The PathVegas) as Amelia, the ambitious woman pretending to be Seth’s wife, Chasten Harmon (BrainDead) as quick-witted prostitute Bessie Louvin, Christopher Heyerdahl (Syfy’s Van Helsing) as the Iowa county’s shady Sheriff Don Berryman and Melinda Page Hamilton (Mad Men) as strikebreaker-with-a-vendetta Connie Nunn.
