Record 'Jeopardy' Run Comes to an End

Matt Jackson hoped to increase his Jeopardy win streak to 14 games on Wednesday, but, alas, his luck ran out. Leading by $200 over newcomer Michael Baker going into the Final Jeopardy round, the clue was, “For its 50th anniversary in 2012, the roof of this landmark was temporarily repainted its original color, galaxy gold.” While Michael got the question wrong with, “What is Dodgers Stadium?” he only risked $2,399 leaving him with a total of $15,201. Matt’s question was also wrong, “What is the Kennedy Center?” He wagered a staggering $17,401, causing him to lose.

Don’t feel too bad for Matt Jackson, though, as he took home $411,612 in winnings, a ticket to the Tournament of Champions, and a bottle of Aleve to numb the pain of defeat. Plus, he now has a place in the Jeopardy history books as the fourth winningest player to date.
