Ratings: Trump Boosts ’60 Minutes’ Viewers by 34 Percent

President-elect Donald Trump’s “60 Minutes” interview drove the CBS news magazine program’s viewership up 34 percent on a Sunday dominated by NFL football.

NBC was first in ratings with a 5.5 rating/16 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 16.4 million, according to preliminary numbers. The broadcaster aired 90 minutes of pregame show, and then the Seattle Seahawks v. New England Patriots after.

Fox was second in ratings with a 3.8/11 and third in viewers with 10.5 million. An NFL overrun at 7 p.m. mixed with postgame show “The OT” for a 7.7/23 and 22.9 million viewers. “The Simpsons” at 8 earned a 3.1/9 and 7.1 million viewers. At 8:30, “Son of Zorn” landed a 1.6/5 and 3.7 million viewers. “Family Guy” at 9 had a 1.6/4 and 3.6 million viewers. At 9:30, “Last Man on Earth” got a 1.1/3 and 2.6 million viewers.

CBS was third in ratings with a 1.7/5 and second in viewers with 11.9 million. At 7, an NFL overrun combined with “60 Minutes” for a 3.2/10 and 18.8 million viewers. At 8, “60 Minutes” met up with “NCIS: Los Angeles” for a 1.9/5 and 13.4 million viewers. “NCIS: LA” hooked with with “Madam Secretary” at 9 to a 1.1/3 and 9.4 million viewers. At 10, the conclusion of that Tea Leoni series and the start to “Elementary” at 10 finished primetime with a 0.7/2 and 5.9 million viewers.

ABC was fourth in ratings with a 0.8/2 and in viewers with 3.4 million. “America’s Funniest Home Videos” at 7 received a 0.8/2 and 4.5 million viewers. “Once Upon a Time” at 8 had a 0.9/3 and 3.4 million viewers. “Secrets and Lies” at 9 got a 0.7/2 and 3.1 million viewers. At 10, “Quantico” managed the same rating/share, but dipped to 2.7 million viewers.

Telemundo was fifth in ratings with a 0.7/2 and in viewers with 1.8 million.

Univision was sixth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.5 million.
