Ratings: Indians/Cubs World Series Opens With a 7-Year High

Fox’s coverage of the World Series opener on Tuesday night drew 19.37 million total viewers and a 5.6 demo rating (per finals), up 30 and 22 percent year-over-year to deliver the best Game 1 numbers since Yankees/Phillies 2009 (19.4 mil/6.3).

Going up against the Fall Classic….

NBC | The Voice (9.4 mil/2.1) slipped 16 percent in the demo week-to-week, This Is Us (8.7 mil/2.4) dipped 8 percent and Chicago Fire (6.9 mil/1.6) held steady.

THE CW | The Flash (2.8 mil/1.0) and No Tomorrow (780K/0.3) were steady.

CBS | NCIS (11.1 mil/1.7) and Bull (11.6 mil/1.5) each dipped a tenth, while New Orleans (9.6 mil/1.3) ticked up.

ABC | The Middle (5.7 mil/1.5) and American Housewife (5.2 mil/1.6) were flat, Fresh Off the Boat (4 mil/1.2) dipped and Real O’Neals (3.2 mil/1.0) and SHIELD (2.3 mil/0.8) ticked up.
