Ratings: ‘AGT,’ ‘World of Dance’ Destroy Broadcast’s Rerun Competition

Well, that was a cakewalk.

NBC absolutely rolled over its broadcast competition on Tuesday, when an original “America’s Got Talent” and “World of Dance” just destroyed everything else on-air.

As a matter of fact, NBC’s primetime average topped the combined Nielsen numbers from CBS, ABC, Fox and CW. Of course, everything on those networks was a rerun.

Even throwing Univision in the mix, NBC’s key 18-49 demographic rating would tie those other five networks together. Yeah, it was a dominant night for Bob Greenblatt’s channel.

NBC was first in ratings with a 2.2 rating/9 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 10.6 million, according to preliminary numbers. “AGT” at 8 p.m. scored a 2.2/9 and 10.6 million viewers. “World of Dance” at 10 earned a 1.6/7 and 7.1 million viewers.

Telemundo was second in ratings with a 0.6/2, but fifth in viewers with 1.46 million.
