Puppies Predict Kentucky Derby Winner on 'Fallon'

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon brought back “The Puppy Predictors” for the 2015 Kentucky Derby. Jimmy Fallon placed 16 puppies at a starting gate, each representing one of the top horses competing in Saturday’s Derby, and the first pup to the kibble trough would be the winner of the big race. (Derby horse “War Story” would probably not be pleased to know that his puppy was sleeping when the race began, but in that dog’s defense, puppies do need a lot of rest.) After Fallon reminded the the dogs of the rules — “No peeing or butt-sniffing!” — and one of the Roots’s horn players blasted out the reveille on the trumpet, it was time for the race to begin. We’re not going to tell you which pooch/horse won, but we can reveal that the whole thing was incredibly cute.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
