‘Project Runway: Junior’ Contestant Wants Tim Gunn to Adopt Her
Project Runway: Junior kicked off the season premiere by introducing us to a dozen young designers who could barely contain their love of Tim Gunn. But for one of them, it went a little beyond your average celebrity crush. Contestant Chelsea said, “I would like to be Tim Gunn’s daughter. I don’t know if he’s up for adoption, but I’m pretty sure I am.” Gunn may be the fabulous designer dad of her dreams, but he did not mince words with Chelsea, telling her he was worried about how she hadn’t gotten very far with her design. With the clock ticking down and Gunn’s foreboding words in her head, Chelsea compared the final workroom minutes to the Hunger Games. Chelsea rose above the pressure, however, and pleased the judges with her self-described “ninja stealth coat dress.” Before her model took to the runway, Chelsea told her, “You’re gonna be a ninja triple agent spy-stalking someone.”
Project Runway: Junior airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on Lifetime.
