Prince Once Destroyed Jimmy Fallon in Pingpong
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon came back from hiatus, and since host Jimmy Fallon wasn’t around last week when the news of Prince’s death was made public, he used his first day back to share a funny story.
A few years ago Prince apparently had his people contact Fallon to challenge him to a pingpong match. Fallon’s daughter had just been born, but Prince’s people gave him a time and place and there was no saying no. So Fallon arrived at the scheduled time and was greeted by Prince, wearing a double-breasted crushed blue velvet suit, holding a pingpong paddle, and asking “Are you ready to do this?”
Prince defeated Fallon with a crushing blow, and while Fallon was looking for the ball, Prince left, without saying a word.
This is one of many intriguing stories that have emerged about the legendary musician, and each one further solidifies Prince’s legacy as a larger-than-life character.
