BBC Worldwide on Friday released the official extended trailer for Planet Earth II, which promises a look at “life in all its wonders closer than ever before.”

The gorgeous trailer, which runs nearly three minutes long, offers glimpses of what the new series will offer: breathtaking views of nature and mind-bogglingly intimate looks at exotic wildlife. (Monkeys! Monkeys! Monkeys!!!)

In addition to having a beautiful score composed by Hans Zimmer (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lion King), the new series will be narrated by Sir David Attenborough, who also lent his voice to the original.

A co-production with BBC America, ZDF and France Télévisions, Planet Earth II is “coming soon.”
