Pilot Season: Childrens Hospital's Rob Corddry Lands Lead in ABC's Spy

Childrens Hospital star Rob Corddry has landed the lead in ABC's Spy pilot, TVGuide.com has learned.

Based on the British series of the same name, Spy is a half-hour, single-camera comedy about the well-intentioned father (Corddry) of a highly intelligent and verbal son, who also happens to be his complete opposite. Dear old dad inadvertently takes a job at the secret service in order to prove himself a worthy father.

Simeon Goulden, who created the original series, will write and executive-produce alongside Jimmy Mulville and Helen Williams.

Corddrey, a Daily Show alum, is also well-known for his roles in Hot Tub Time Machine and Happy Endings.
