Singer/actor Davy Jones of television’s “The Monkees” died Feb. 29 of a heart attack in Florida. He was 66. The titular band was created in the mid-‘60s in an attempt to cash in on Beatlemania and scored big hits with such songs as "Daydream Believer," “Last Train to Clarksville,” and “I’m a Believer.”
