‘People of Earth’ First Look: Aliens Hate Their Jobs Too

Wyatt Cenac has a close encounter of the hilarious kind in this exclusive clip from TBS’s upcoming comedy, People of Earth. Premiering Oct. 31, the series features an ensemble that includes the former Daily Show correspondent, as well as Saturday Night Live vet Ana Gasteyer and Childrens Hospital’s Brian Huskey. They’re all part of the same alien abductees support group, swapping stories about their experiences being seized by little green men.
Or, as in Cenac’s case, little gray men with bulbous purple heads named Jeff. Abducted from his car late one night, Ozzie (Cenac) briefly awakens inside an examination room where three extraterrestrials are milling about. The most surprising thing about these aliens? They sound an awful lot like us, right down to their hostile bickering as they go about the humdrum job of kidnapping humans for scientific study. Nice to know that dealing with obnoxious co-workers isn’t a problem that only the people of Earth have to deal with.
People of Earth premieres Monday, Oct. 31, at 9 p.m. ET on TBS.
