Patton Oswalt Pays Tribute to His Wife a Week After Her Death
A week after the tragic death of Patton Oswalt‘s wife, Michelle McNamara, the comedian paid tribute to his deceased spouse via Twitter on Friday.
In a brief but moving tweet, Oswalt called his time with McNamara “happily humbling.”
“She wrote lines that stung & hummed. 13 years in her presence was happily humbling,” Oswalt wrote, accompanied by the hashtag, “.#RIPMichelleMcNamara.”

McNamara, the founder of the website True Crime Diary, died April 21 at age 46. Oswalt’s publicist Kevin McLaughlin said that she died in her sleep at her Los Angeles home.
True Crime Diary detailed breaking news and cold cases alike. She eschewed high-profile crimes for more obscure stories, writing about the Golden State Killer and the murder of nurse Melanie Howell in 1976.
“I wanted to get more involved in the cases that were fueling my own curiosity,” McNamara said in a 2007 interview.

Oswalt, whose credits include the sitcom “The King of Queens,” “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and the film”Ratatouille,” married McNamara in 2005.
McNamara is survived by Oswalt and their 7-year-old daughter, Alice.
In the wake of McNamara’s death, Oswalt’s monthly stand-up comedy show at Largo in Los Angeles, “Patton Oswalt & Friends,” was canceled, with performances scheduled for April 24 and May 22 listed as canceled on Largo’s website.
