'Outlander' Star Graham McTavish Proves Everything Sounds Sexier in a Scottish Accent

As Outlander fans who’ve read Diana Gabaldon’s books know (and those who haven’t can guess) things are about to take a dark turn now that Jamie (Sam Heughan) has gone missing and, in this week’s episode, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jenny (Laura Donnelly) set off in search of him.

Below, for those who still haven’t given in to the robust, romantic world of Outlander, McTavish graciously defines some of the terms you will need to know to fully enjoy the show (from the basic “kilt” to the sexy clan MacKenzie war cry “Tulach ard!”). He also offers a suggestion for where you should travel to if you’d like to see a real Craigh na Dun.

Outlander airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. on Starz.
