Oscilloscope Laboratories has landed the North America rights to the cat doc KEDi.
Ceyda Torun directed the doc about the cats that have roamed the streets of Istanbul for thousands of years without owners but embraced by the community.
The film was produced by Torun and Charlie Wuppermann and executive produced by Thomas Podstawski.
"We are excited to share the joy of the cats of KEDi with U.S. audiences. We're honored and thrilled that KEDi has found a loving home with Oscilloscope - though it's likely to sneak out at night for days on end, come home with 'gifts' and curl up on their laptops," said Torun.
O-Scope's Dan Berger said, "I'm definitely more of a dog person than a cat person, but I'll be damned if the subjects of KEDi didn't just charm the shit out of me."
Oscilloscope has plans to release the film in 2017, following a festival run.
