‘Orphan Black’ and More Casts Share Their ‘Porn Names’ and Celeb Impressions, Thanks to Our Wheel of Comic-Con
Comic-Con is all about the surprises, whether it’s the reveal of new trailers, additional cast members, or, in the case of our video suite, stars’ “porn names.”
At the end of interviews in San Diego, we had guests spin our Wheel of Comic-Con. As you can tell from the video above, many were hoping to land on “porn,” which gave them the opportunity to share how they’d be credited in an adult film. Should you forget, your “porn name” is the name of your first pet plus the street you grew up on.
No spoilers here, but if we have to declare winners, they include Fear the Walking Dead’s Colman Domingo, Gotham’s Chris Chalk and Morena Baccarin, Vice Principal’s Danny McBride, and American Gods executive producers Neil Gaiman and Bryan Fuller. (Others who were game: the casts of Orphan Black, Powerless, Ash vs. Evil Dead, and Riverdale, as well as Colin Farrell, Charlie Hunnam, and Will Arnett).
Some casts opted to spin the wheel more than once, hence the Orphan Black and Fear the Walking Dead folks being asked to perform their best celebrity impressions. Orphan Black’s Jordan Gavaris drew applause from the crew for his Matthew McConaughey (Kristian Bruun also performed a solid Sean Connery), while the FTWD cast nailed Robert De Niro, Liam Neeson, Maya Angelou (props to Domingo again!), and Rosie Perez.
And finally, some casts were asked for the advice they’d give their 18-year-old selves. Topics ranged from real estate investment (Gotham’s Michael Chiklis) to tattoo planning (Time After Time’s Genesis Rodriguez). Bonus points to Gotham’s 17-year-old Camren Bicondova and even young Lights Out star Gabriel Bateman who had to speak to their future selves.
