'Orange Is the New Black' Season 3 Newbies: Who's Who

With so many people – inmates, COs, administration, visitors, etc. – constantly streaming in and out of Litchfield, it can be tough to remember whether or not you’ve seen some of the Orange Is the New Black characters before. Here’s our handy guide to all the faces we’re seeing for the first time in Season 3… even the ones whose names we barely caught.

Warning: Major Season 3 spoilers ahead.

Stella Carlin
Played By: Ruby Rose

Bio: She’s the new Litchfield inmate who had a brief fling with Piper, but then drew the wrath of the used panty entrepreneur when she stole Piper’s cash to finance her new life on the outside.
Likelihood We’ll See Her Again: It’s a sure thing. Just as she did with girlfriend Alex Vause at the end of Season 2, Piper set Stella up, making sure Stella’s stay at Litchfield will be extended (and that viewers’ growing dislike of Piper will be extended).

Maureen Kukudio
Played By: Emily Althaus

Bio: She’s the sweet inmate who’s got a thang for Crazy Eyes.
Likelihood We’ll See Her Again: They finally bonded at the lake in the Season 3 finale, so we can only wait in anticipation of the new erotica Suzanne will write now that she has finally completed her chocolate and vanilla swirl.

Charlie Coates
Played By: James McMenamin

Bio: He’s the quirky donut shop worker who became a Litchfield correctional officer and forged a fast, seemingly sweet, friendship with equally quirky Pennsatucky. But he soon revealed himself to be a menacing baddie who raped Pennsatucky.
Likelihood We’ll See Him Again: Unfortunately, he’s still employed as a CO, but we’re confident Pennsatucky and her new BFF Boo will keep an eye on Coates’s potentially dangerous interactions with their fellow inmates.

Danny Pearson
Played By: Mike Birbiglia

Bio: He was the Director of Human Activities for the Management & Correction Corporation (MCC), the private company that took over management of Litchfield from the federal government. He is also the son of an MCC exec, a fact that, by his own admission, played a major role in him getting the MCC gig.
Likelihood We’ll See Him Again: It’s up in the air, since Danny quit his job after he finally stood up to his father when Sophia was unfairly sent to the SHU after being beaten up in Season 3’s penultimate episode.

Berdie Rogers
Played By: Marsha Stephanie Blake

Bio: She is a newly-hired inmate counselor, who starts a drama class to give the inmates a creative outlet to deal with their problems. Unfortunately for Crazy Eyes, Berdie sees her erotic love story as more porn-y than literary.
Likelihood We’ll See Her Again: It’s 50-50. Berdie clashed with fellow counselor Sam Healy all season, so he was all too happy to see her put on indefinite leave while she is being investigated for her role in Suzanne’s popular writings (which, as we learn, was partly inspired by Litchfield guard Wade Donaldson).

Delia Mendez-Powell
Played By: Mary Steenburgen

Bio: She’s the woman who spawned Pornstache. As such, she approaches Daya Diaz and Daya’s mom, Aleida, about adopting Daya’s baby, whose father — Delia and Pornstache think — is Pornstache.
Likelihood We’ll See Her Again: You might think none, now that Daya has told Delia that Pornstache isn’t her baby daddy, but Delia seems willing to do anything for her mentally unstable — and Daya-obsessed — son, so maybe she’ll take another shot at getting permission to raise Baby Diaz? Especially now that the child is in need of a home after Cesar’s arrest…

Judy King
Played By: Blair Brown

Bio: She’s the Martha Stewart-inspired host of the cooking show Judy King at Home, a favorite program of Poussey.
Likelihood We’ll See Her Again: It’s a sure thing, as Judy was found guilty of tax evasion and sentenced to a stay at Litchfield. Wonder how Red will feel about this new potential kitchen rival? Especially if Caputo gets rid of those boil-in-bag meals and puts Judy in charge of cooking up some real grub for the inmates…

Jimmy Gary Jr., Alan Aisenberg, and Eden Malyn

Baxter Bayley
Played By: Alan Aisenberg
Bio: He’s the new baby-faced correctional officer, the one whose attention can be easily swayed by the flirtations of the inmates.
Likelihood We’ll See Him Again: It’s likely. Even though he failed to prevent the inmates from running off to the lake when they spotted that hole in the fence surrounding the prison, he’s also one of the few guards who didn’t quit when they learned of Caputo’s well-paying new job. Plus, those busloads of new inmates arrived in the Season 3 finale, so Bayley’s incompetence may be overlooked at this shaky time in Litchfield history.

Sikowitz
Played By: Eden Malyn
Bio: She’s a new Litchfield guard.
Likelihood We’ll See Her Again: Dunno. We don’t even know her first name!

Felix Rikerson
Played By: Jimmy Gary Jr.
Bio: Another new guard at Litchfield, he’s the one Caputo used to display his takedown, ahem, skills, during a guard training session.
Likelihood We’ll See Him Again: Rikerson, along with Bayley and Sikowitz, was among the still-employed COs during the inmates’ frolic to the lake, but again, after the other guards quit, this trio of newbies may keep their jobs because… desperation.

Jeanie “Babs” Babson
Played By: Danielle Herbert

Bio: Babs is a Litchfield inmate and one of “guru” Norma’s biggest supporters, asking Norma to bless her correspondence and attending Norma’s sessions in the prison chapel.
Likelihood We’ll See Her Again: Not only would we bet on seeing her again, we’re thinking Babs might get her own backstory episode in Season 4.

Orange Is the New Black Season 3 is currently streaming on Netflix.
