"Do you ever feel like your life has turned into something you never intended?" asks Amy Adams' character at the beginning of the first teaser trailer for Tom Ford's Nocturnal Animals.
The latest feature from the fashion designer turned director stars Adams as an art gallery director with insomnia who begins to unravel after reading her first husband's novel that she interprets to be a veiled threat.
The revenge thriller has been making its way through the festival circuit, having just screened at Toronto and Venice, where it won the Grand Jury Prize.
The trailer parades out the film's all-star cast, each in different states of concern and despair, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Shannon, Armie Hammer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Laura Linney.
"When you love someone, you have to be careful with it because you might never get it again," warns Gyllenhaal's character at the end of the trailer.
Nocturnal Animals opens in select theaters Nov. 18.
