‘Nightcap’ Sneak Peek: Julianne Moore Plays the Imitation Game
Nobody likes a copycat. Remember when you were little and your sibling would repeat everything you said and it drove you crazy? On the next episode of Nightcap, that sibling is Julianne Moore and her copycat game has Staci (Ali Wentworth) tearing out her hair.
The Oscar-winning actress is shadowing Staci in order to prepare for a role in a new indie movie. But her “shadowing” is really just following Staci around and repeating. Every. Single. Word. Staci. Says. And it’s annoying as hell.
“Listen to me,” a frustrated Staci huffs.
“Listen to me,” Julianne mimics.
“I’m at the end of my rope,” Staci continues. “I want it to stop!”
But then, security guard Phil (Jeff Hiller) steps in and uses a very unconventional and painful way of solving Staci’s copycat problem. Um, somebody had better dial 911.
Nightcap airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on POP.
