Nickelodeon Greenlights Third Season of Hit Kids’ Animated Series ‘Loud House’ (EXCLUSIVE)

The Loud House,” Nickelodeon‘s hit animated series, has been greenlit for a third season, the network announced today.

The series, created and executive produced by Chris Savino, follows the exploits of young Lincoln Loud as he navigates life with 10 sisters.

Chris Savino has created a very engaging and relatable world through the animated series ‘The Loud House,’ which is a proven hit with our audience,” said James Stephenson, senior vice president, animation and games, at Nickelodeon. “The season three order is a demonstration of Nickelodeon’s continued commitment to bringing fresh stories to our viewers.”

The series premiered on May 2 and will debut its second season soon. Season three will bow in 2017. The order for 26 more episodes will bring its total to 78.

It was the first animated series to come out of Nickelodeon’s annual Animated Shorts Program, which is designed to cultivate the next great creative talents.

“The Loud House,” currently the top-rated kids animated kids show, is averaging a 3.4/985,000 among kids 2-11 (a 38% increase over last year), and 3.3/585,000 with kids 6-11 (48% up from last year). It’s delivering almost 2 million total viewers, up 29%.

“The Loud House” has a big digital footprint as well. In addition to the series’ web page on Nick.com, behind-the-scenes tidbits are available on the Nick app and “The Loud House” Facebook page. And an interactive digital comic book, “The Loud House” Instacomic, can be found on Instagram.

The series airs weekdays at 5 p.m. ET/PT.
