A Donald Trump supporter claimed Hillary Clinton was guilty of "hypocrisy" for criticizing the GOP nominee for his "locker room talk" because of her professed admiration for Beyonce.
Betsy McCaughey, a former lieutenant governor of New York, attempted to defend Trump from the fallout from Friday's revelation of a hot mic incident, by claiming it was rich of Clinton to pile on when she herself "idolizes" and "imitates" Beyonce, whose lyrics were just as bad.
"I mentioned rap music because it's full of the F-word, the P-word, the B-word, the A-word," said McCaughey. A confused Lemon was forced to ask where she was going with her point.
To which McCaughey answered: "Hillary Clinton expresses that she finds the language on that bus 'horrific,' but in fact, she likes language like this. 'I came to slay, bitch. When he f - ed me good I take his ass to Red Lobster.'"
"That happens to be from Beyonce, her favorite performer. Whom she says she idolizes and would like to imitate. So you know what I'm saying to you? There's a lot of hypocrisy in Hillary Clinton expressing such horror at language on the bus."
Here's the video.
"All that, and a @Beyonce reference," said @donlemon. Here's the @Betsy_McCaughey moment our host was referencing https://t.co/n1xzb7QtJZ
