With news that yet another star, Jason Sudeikis, is exiting "Saturday Night Live" many are wondering what will happen next season, but the cast members tell Access Hollywood the roster shakeup is just part of life at 30 Rock.
"That's what the show is, you know, Will Ferrell leaves and then Amy Poehler shows up," Bobby Moynihan told Access at Comic-Con in San Diego, while promoting his new Hulu series, "The Awesomes."
"That's what makes the show so great is just having that constant loop of very talented people," he continued.
One of those talented people, is Bobby's "The Awesomes" and "SNL" co-star Taran Killam, who some are hoping will take over the "Weekend Update" desk for exiting player and head writer Seth Meyers. But Taran isn't so sure he's a shoe-in for the spot.
"[There have been] no conversations, but it would be a blast," he said of taking over the "Weekend Update" gig. "I'd love it and I'd work really hard, but there are so many people on that show in front and behind the cameras that are so much smarter and funnier than me, so we'll see."
As for Seth, who will be taking over "Late Night" as Jimmy Fallon jumps to "The Tonight Show" in early 2014, his new gig is bittersweet.
"It will be very hard to say goodbye to the 'Update' desk, the world of 'SNL,' I've been there a really long time, but I can't think of a better place to jump to than 'Late Night,' So, I'm really excited about that," he told Access at Comic-Con.
And Seth revealed to Access that he doesn't have the power to select his successor at the desk
"I wish I was allowed to have that decision," he said. "But that's a full Lorne Michaels decision, but he has a lot of great choices."
"Saturday Night Live" returns this fall on NBC.
