Ruben Studdard is opening up about slimming down. As previously announced, the Season 2 winner of American Idol is a contestant on the fifteenth season of The Biggest Loser, and he recently revealed that taking two hours a day to himself is how he will continue to keep losing weight.
"That's what I've been taught, as you know," he told the Associated Press during a phone interview on Sept. 27. "I have to get up every day and give myself the two hours that I need to keep myself together before I even get into any music stuff, and that's just going to have to be how I do it."
Studdard, 35, is the heaviest contestant on the season at 462 pounds, but is already revealing that he will change his ways once the show has ended. "[I will] give every day of my life some Ruben time," he said.
In addition, Studdard will also transition back into music to record his sixth album. In May, he celebrated the 10th anniversary of winning the FOX singing competition in 2003. "10 years ago God blessed me to see a dream come true that I had prayed for since I was 6 years old. Thank you Lord!!" he tweeted.
Season 15 of The Biggest Loser premieres Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
