Netflix made it official on Thursday, confirming that it has reached a deal with News Corp.'s Fox Television Studios to bring the third season of AMC hit show The Killing to its members three months after the season finale.
The show is set to premiere on AMC later this year and will be available for Netflix's streaming members in the U.S. and Canada three months after its airing in the U.S. "The deal makes Netflix the exclusive subscription television service for The Killing season 3," the company said.
Financial terms weren't disclosed.
Earlier this year, AMC and Fox Television Studios said they would bring back The Killing for a third season. Negotiations with Netflix for exclusive subscription VOD rights to the series were in the works when the return of the show was unveiled, but no deal was immediately announced back then.
