Want to meet the costume designers behind Florence Foster Jenkins, Jackie, La La Land and more? Here's your chance.
On Feb. 25, one day before the Oscars, you're invited to the seventh annual Sketch to Screen Costume and Design Panel and Celebration at UCLA's Schoenberg Hall.
The event, sponsored by Swarovski, will include a panel of distinguished costume designers from this past year's buzziest films: Erin Benach (Loving), Consolata Boyle (Florence Foster Jenkins), Sharen Davis (Fences), Madeline Fontaine (Jackie), Arianne Phillips (Nocturnal Animals) and Mary Zophres (La La Land). Fontaine, Boyle and Zophres are also nominated for best costume design for their respective films at this year's Oscars.
During the event, the "Swarovski Shooting Star Award" will be presented to one UCLA TFT M.F.A. costume design student whose work has stood out in earning the annual scholarship prize.
The panel, held at 2 p.m., will be hosted by Teri Schwartz, dean of the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, and Deborah Nadoolman Landis, Ph.D., founding director of UCLA TFT David C. Copley Center for Costume Design.
VIP tickets cost $100 and include one parking pass.
