S. Epatha Merkerson, Jeffrey Ross, Melinda McGraw Among Pilot Guest Castings
In the last wave of pilot castings, the pilots are booking actors for guest starring roles, most of them with potential to recur if the pilots go to series. Here are several notable guest signings:
Law & Order veteran S. Epatha Merkerson and Comedy Central roast master Jeff Ross, host of The Burn With Jeff Ross, will guest star in Fox’s Boomerang. Merkerson plays a mysterious agency bureaucrat; Ross, repped by Thruline and WME, plays an agency handler of operatives. Merkerson, repped by ICM Partners and manager Bob McGowan, recurs on NBC’s Deception and just signed on to co-star in the Marvin Gaye biopic.
Melinda McGraw (Men Of A Certain Age) has joined Fox’s drama Delirium after recently recurring on the network’s comedy Ben & Kate. Repped by Domain and McKeon/Myones, she will play Lydia, the image-conscious wife of Thomas Fineman.
Former Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles star Thomas Dekker and The Practice alumna Camryn Manheim have joined CBS’ drama Backstrom. Dekker plays Valentine, Backstrom’s decorator and underworld connection. Manheim plays Police Chief Anna Holt.
Parvesh Cheena (Outsourced) has been added to TBS comedy Do It Yourself, playing Nick’s co-worker and friend. He is with Global and Brillstein.
Mekia Cox has been added to Fox’s untitled J.H. Wyman futuristic cop drama. She plays the ex-lover to John Kennex (Karl Urban).
Young comedian Caitlin Kimball, repped by Talent House LA and manager Mike Jackson, has been cast in CBS’ comedy Bad Teacher. She plays Kim, Ginny’s quirky follower. Katie Walder, repped by Talentworks and Evolution, plays trophy wife Brie, Meredith’s (Ari Graynor) best friend and confidant.
