Pro-Trump trolls are tweeting anti-Semitic hatred at Emmy Rossum. The Shameless star, who supported Hillary Clinton during the election, denounced Trump’s appointment of Steve Bannon, an “alt-right” commentator with connections to white nationalism, as his Chief Strategist, which triggered the attacks on Rossum.

Rossum’s mother is Jewish and most of the vilification has been of an anti-Semitic nature with others chiming in with Nazi propaganda and chants.
There has been a rash of similar incidents around the country since the election with violence directed at people of color, an altercation with the stars of Silicon Valley when they refused to discuss politics with Trump supporters in a Los Angeles bar, and volumes of hate speech being posted online.
The president-elect had a simple message to put an end to the hate, violence and to start the healing process in our country, “I say, ‘Stop it.’ If it — if it helps, I will say this, and I will say right to the cameras: ‘Stop it.'”
Only time will tell if his message does anything to dissuade these fervent and loathsome supporters from continuing their campaign of hatred.
