Comedian Jeffrey Ross attended Comedy Central’s previous roast – of Charlie Sheen – dressed as Colonel Gaddafi. But it looks like the insult comic may have one-upped himself at this year’s roast of Roseanne Barr.
Ross walked the carpet before the roast dressed as former Penn State coach Joe Paterno, wearing a blue Penn State hat and jacket. By his side were two young men who were wearing only towels and football helmets.

Before the show on the red carpet, Ross told THR that the “P” on his hat stood for “People who can take a joke.”
"I feel like if people don’t like what they’re seeing, they can do what Joe Paterno did – look the other way," he said, referring to 2011’s Penn State sexual abuse scandal. On June 22, 2012, Jerry Sandusky, the assistant coach, was found guilty on 45 charges of sexual abuse.

Barr created and starred in the hit comedy series Roseanne, spotlighting a middle-class, blue-collar family in middle America alongside fellow actors John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf.
Recently, she announced she was vying for the Green Party's nomination for president, and then later went on to voice her intentions to go after the ticket for the Peace and Freedom Party.
