Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's wedding has been speculated about more times than Katie Holmes' inner monologue, but yesterday at The Cannes Film Festival, Brad revealed to reporters that the glossy mags would have to wait a lot longer before they see the two megastars walk down the aisle.
"We have no date at all right now – there is no date," he told reporters. "We're still hoping for marriage equality in the States before we [get married]."
Pitt memorably said in a 2006 interview, "Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able." And while their April engagement made it seem like the two were backtracking on their GLAAD outlook on marriage, this new comment ensures they're still committed to the fight for equality.
But that doesn't mean the two aren't enjoying being newlyweds; a status update (they're on Facebook, right?) Brad simply called "something that made sense."
